We are grateful for the generosity of the Great Smokies Health Foundation and our partnership with Heartfelt Haywood to help bring Grief gatherings and Advance Directives programs to Jackson County! Haywood Hospice is proud to now provide comfort care to residents of Sylva and Dillsboro communities! We will be announcing dates for these new programs soon! ❤️
On stage: Peter Constantian, Executive Director of Heartfelt Haywood and Delisa Ensley, Account Executive of Haywood Hospice accept a grant from Great Smokies Health Foundation.
Hospice work is about caring for people. As a hospice chaplain and bereavement coordinator, I cherished the opportunity to work with the grieving families of our patients. I've seen so much transformation and healing in two short years. Isn't transformation and healing something the world needs a little more of right now? What grief are you carrying? What transformation or healing does your heart need?
Monday, September 29th was a milestone for our little nonprofit. Heartfelt Haywood (our legal name is Haywood End-of-life Coalition d.b.a. Heartfelt Haywood) was overjoyed to be awarded this $10,000 grant from the Great Smokies Health Foundation!
This grant funding will build on our partnership with Haywood Hospice & Palliative Care to bring Grief Gatherings to Jackson County and offer programming around the Five Wishes. If you've been to our Grief Gathering at the Coffee Cup Café or come to one of Delisa's presentations, please share this with your community and tell us what you loved about it. Our Jackson County neighbors may want to know!
The Jackson Grief Gathering will meet monthly beginning in November at the Jackson County Senior Center. Date and time TBD. We're all grieving something some of the time. If you live in Jackson county, what date and time would work best for you to attend?
