Hi, I’m Britni Burks, MSN, FNP-C. I’m a family nurse practitioner with a background in urgent care, the ER, and family practice, mostly in rural areas. I started out with a biology degree from Texas A&M, then became an LVN in 2013, an RN in 2014 (from McLennan Community College in Waco), and earned my BSN in 2016 and MSN in 2022, both from UT Arlington. Most of my RN years were spent working in the emergency room, which gave me a strong foundation in acute care.
I have a real passion for functional medicine and feel that’s where I can make the biggest difference for my patients. I love looking at the whole picture and helping people get to the root of their health concerns.
I’m a member of Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP) and the Seeds Scientific Research & Performance (SSRP) Institute, which helps me stay up to date and connected in my field.
When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my family. I’m married with two kids, and I’m very close to my parents, sisters, niece, and nephew.
