Fall into October with us! As the leaves change and the air cools, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the beauty of the season with family and friends. From fall festivals to pumpkin patches, there are endless ways to stay active, get outdoors, and make memories. We can’t wait to see the creativity shine through in all the kids’ and grandkids’ costumes at the end of the month! This season, let’s embrace change, celebrate the little moments, and remember to take care of our health—mind, body, and spirit.

We can all Recognize the signs.
Heart attacks look and feel different in women than they do in men. Both men and women may feel chest pain when having a heart attack, but women are more likely to also experience shortness of breath, nausea or vomiting, and pain in the back, neck, or jaw.
Heart attack symptoms may include:
* Chest pain or discomfort, usually in the center or left side of the chest, that lasts for more than a few minutes or that goes away and comes back. The discomfort can feel like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness, or pain.
* Pain or discomfort in the jaw, neck, or backing
* Feeling weak, light-headed, faint, or a cold sweat.
* Shortness of breath.
* Pain or discomfort in one or both arms or shoulders.
Be safe, not sorry. Many heart attacks start slowly with relatively mild pain.
Make an agreement with loved ones that you will call 911 as soon as anyone experiences any of the signs of a heart attack.
Keep a record of what medicines your loved ones are taking, what medicines they’re allergic to, and who they want contacted in case of an emergency.
Being prepared now may just save a life later.

We are proud to join together celebrating National Rehabilitation Awareness Week!
This week is a special opportunity to honor the incredible work of our rehabilitation teams and to recognize the profound impact they have every single day on our residents and community. Rehabilitation is more than a process; it’s a journey of resilience, hope, and reclaiming independence. Our therapists are the guiding lights on this journey, providing not just expert care but also the encouragement and support that empower our residents to achieve their goals. We celebrate:
· The Expertise of our therapists, whose knowledge and skill transform challenges into possibilities.
· The Compassion they show, treating each patient with dignity and understanding.
· The Breakthroughs, both big and small, that they help make possible every day.
To our remarkable therapists, Thank you for your dedication, your passion, and your unwavering commitment to changing lives. You are the heart of our mission.

Every September 11th gives us all time to reflect on the devastating attacks that took nearly 3,000 lives in New York City. We commemorate those who we lost and give thanks to the brave first responders and fellow Americans that put their lives on the line to help each other. Take a moment today to consider what we stand for as a nation and how we can make the world a better place for all. Our Flags are lowered halfway, and there is a country wide moment of silence at 8:46 am, which is when the first plane made impact with one of the Twin Towers. Today as reflect and remember, may it remind us all of the sensitivity of our time and the importance of standing united as a nation.
