is the inspirational, true story of a mother and daughter's 14-year journey for a cure to an agonizing illness. Adhesions are bands of scar tissue that form inside the body as a result of trauma, infection or inflammation. Adhesions cause the internal organs to become fused together, which results in pain, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms. Hushed among physicians, sufferers of this disorder are

often misdiagnosed or quickly dismissed as being "depressed". Most adhesion sufferers will spend 7-10 years wandering from doctor to doctor for an answer to debilitating pain. In 1988, at the age of 13, my daughter's life came to a screeching halt due to severe abdominal pain. Fourteen years of her life were lost to this insidious illness as we fought for an answer to her pain. My passion is promoting ARD (adhesion related disorder) awareness.
