We help you recover to your fullest abilities, providing a specialized

level of rehabilitative care that’s available only at medical rehabilitation hospitals. The hospital offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy; rehabilitative nursing, case management, respiratory therapy, dietary services, wound care management, orthotic and prosthetic services, and other specialized care. Today ClearSky Weatherford wants to hit pause to celebrate someone who keeps everything moving forward. Happy National CEO Day, Aaron!

In the world of medical rehabilitation, progress doesn’t happen overnight. It takes patience, vision, and a commitment to helping others. That same mindset is reflected in the way Aaron leads: supporting our teams and encouraging growth.

Stroke recovery can feel isolating, which is why support networks matter. While family and friends provide important help and encouragement, stroke support groups offer something unique: connection with others who truly understand the experience. Research shows that strong support networks are linked with better mental well-being and improved recovery after stroke.

Support groups can reduce stress, improve coping skills, and create a sense of belonging. Many survivors find that sharing with peers who have “been there” helps them feel less alone and more understood.

Happy National Hospital Week!

ClearSky Weatherford celebrated our incredible team with this year’s “Picture Day” theme, featuring Awkward Family Photo, Glamour Shot, School Picture Day, Sports Day, and ClearSky Day. While only a few photos are featured here, many more were captured throughout the week that reflect the fun, connection, and spirit shared across our hospital.

Just like medical rehabilitation is built on progress, perseverance, and celebrating every step forward, Hospital Week gives us the opportunity to recognize the compassionate, hardworking individuals who make ClearSky Weatherford so special.

Throughout the week, we enjoyed great food, celebrated together, and reflected on how every department and every role contributes to helping patients heal, regain strength, and move forward each day. Behind every patient experience is a team dedicated not only to caring for others, but also to supporting one another.

Joelean, from Dublin, Texas, came to ClearSky Weatherford for medical rehabilitation following a hospital stay and pacemaker placement.

During her 15-day stay, Joelean worked hard in both physical and occupational therapy, making great strides each day toward recovery. Thanks to her dedication and determination, she successfully reached her goal of returning home.

Fear of falling after a stroke is common. It’s your brain’s way of trying to protect you. But sometimes that fear creates a cycle. Fear of falling can lead to avoiding movement, which causes weaker muscles and worse balance, ultimately increasing the risk of falling and reinforcing even more fear.

Signs you may be in this cycle include feeling unsteady, difficulty rising from a chair, fatigue, avoiding activities, worrying about falling during safe tasks, and losing confidence.

The good news is this cycle can be broken. Start by working with your healthcare team to find safe ways to stay active. Balance-focused exercises, physical and occupational therapies, fall prevention strategies, and simple home safety changes can help you rebuild strength, improve stability, and regain confidence, one step at a time.

This week, we’ve celebrated the amazing nurses who go above and beyond for our patients, families, and community every single day. From smiles to expert care at the bedside, their dedication makes a difference in countless lives.

We kicked off the week on May 4th with some fun treats, including “Yoda Best Nurse” cupcakes, because it’s true—our nurses are the best!

New 2026 guidelines from the American Stroke Association highlight important advances in treating ischemic stroke, which occurs when a blood clot blocks blood flow to the brain.

Recommended treatments now include expanded access to clot-removal procedures, greater use of the clot-busting medication tenecteplase, and mobile stroke units that bring care directly to patients.

These updates are helping more patients receive faster treatment, which can improve recovery and reduce long-term disability.

With nearly 800,000 strokes each year in the U.S., rapid recognition and treatment remain critical. Remember F.A.S.T. to recognize a stroke: Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call 911.
