A new adventure! Tomorrow my daughter and I leave for a week long stay in Houston at MD Anderson Cancer Center to have tests, meet with surgeons and oncologists to find out the plan for killing my breast cancer that decided it would hang out in my b**b for awhile!
Did I mention that we don't have time for this!!!! We are in the process of moving 2 houses and a studio, now we are behind in our gallery orders and our 1 retail show of the year, The Texas Clay Festival (which I adore), looms large in October!
Did I mention that Carie and I both are recovering from 2 weeks of the flu? Well, they say that God never gives you more than you can handle so I truly hope he is about finished throwing s**t at the Crain's!

ORIGINAL PLAN
After looking for several weeks for 3 new homes (for me, my daughter and her family plus a new ceramic studio), we found a place in Godley, Tx. It has a home for Carie (my daughter and partner and her family) a steel building for an apartment for me and part of our ceramic studio. Now, we have decided to get 2 or 3 - 8'x40' shipping containers for the studio...kilns, slip room, glazing and wet clay. The office, shipping, metal and glass will go in the metal bldg. with my apartment.
We have to insulate and air condition the bldg and containers as well as build out my apartment!

NEW TWIST - BREAST CANCER
I just found out that I have BREAST CANCER and l will be going to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for treatment. Since we still have a deadline to move, gallery orders to fill plus The Texas Clay Festival in Gruene, TX in October I have no earthly idea how this mess will play out. The one thing I do know is that it will get done but it may not be pretty!!!
