Have you ever wanted a massage but didn’t know what to expect? Or have had questions for your massage therapist? Well, I’d be happy to answer any questions!! And please feel free to ask your therapist any massage related questions you may have to help better your massage experience
Common massage questions:
Should I be under the sheets?
-Yes, to protect your modesty, we ask you be under the sheet with the blanket on top
How much should I undress?
-it’s up to you!! We usually ask our female clients to not have any straps on the back that may hinder gliding strokes, but the client is in charge of how much clothes they do or don’t wear under the sheet. Either way, we will help protect your modesty
*Fully clothed massages are available if a client doesn’t want to be under a sheet or to undress
Does getting a massage hurt?
Best answer, in a light to medium pressue, no. In a medium-deep to deep pressure, there can be some discomfort, but no more than an 7/8 on a pain scale of 1-10. No massage sure hurt, but you can experience point of pressure that maybe harder to handle than others, which should be communicated to your therapist, so your therapist can adjust the pressure. In therapeutic massages such as deep tissues/ myofasical release, it is normal for the areas of concern to be worked at a constant 5-8 on a pain scale to help with your release, but again, it is up to the communication of your therapist, as well yourself as the client to make sure it’s a good release, and not painful, because the levels of pressure everyone can take varies from person to person
Why do people get massages?
There are many many many reasons why people get massages, but a few to list are:
-increase circulation, such as moving nutrients, oxygen, red blood cells through the body, as well as aiding in expelling toxins and waste
-It's basically a painkiller
-It boosts your immunity

-It fends off headaches
-It boosts your mood
-It reduces muscle soreness
-Improving energy, alertness, and over all body awareness
