Make all decisions from pure love & the world will change.

Love is often presented as the opposite of fear, but true love is not opposite anything. True love is more powerful than any negative emotions, as it is the environment in which all things arise. Negative emotions are like sharks swimming in the ocean of love. All things beautiful or fearful, ugly or kind, powerful or small, come into existence, do their thing, then disappear within the context of this great ocean. At the same time, they are made of the very love in which they swim & may never be separated.

We are made of this love & live our whole lives at one with it, whether we know it or not. It is only the illusion that we are separate from this great love that causes us to believe that choosing anything other than love makes sense or is even possible.

Ultimately, the choices we make will she light on the love that makes us all one, enabling those who have forgotten, to return to the source.

The world makes it easy to forget this great love, which is why we are here. We are here to remember and, when we forget, to remember again, to choose love. ❤️

The yoga pose is not the goal. Becoming flexible is not the goal. Standing on your hands is not the goal. The Goal is to create space where you were once stuck. To unveil the layers of protection you have built around your heart. To appreciate your body & become aware of the mind & the noise it creates. To make peace with who you are. The goal is to love ... You.

Savanna ia said to be the most important of all the asanas ; the time when each yogi may take in all the benefits of their yoga practice. Although this is true, there are many more benefits to practicing Savanna. Much like Restorative Yoga, Savasana facilitates relaxation of the muscles & gives yogis space to quiet their minds. The parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest) are activated allowing them to rest in a profoundly healing state. Just 5 -10 minutes of Savasana can rejuvenate the body & bring peace & clarity to the mind. This counteracts the effects of chronic stress- the fight, freeze, flight response of the sympathetic nervous system we find ourselves in most of the time. Namaste.

Grief—the loss of a loved one, our full health, a relationship, a job, or a pet. We all experience it at some point. We miss what was & fear the future without it. Sometimes lack of closure or unanswered questions can leave us feeling confused, incomplete, and even resentful.

Yoga can’t fix the situation that is leaving us grieving, yet it can remind us everything is temporary.

The ways that yoga practice also encourages whole-person wellness— in our bodies, minds, & spirits— may also help us get through our grieving days a bit more easily. Additionally, yogic philosophy reminds us to detach from judging things as “good” or “bad,” but rather that everything has its place and its purpose. We grieve because we were able to experience something good in what we are grieving. Yogic philosophy guides us to detach from our thoughts & feelings, rather than identify with them, because they’re what we’re experiencing & not who we are.
