MCHD has a Certified Nursing Assistant course we teach once a year, depending on the need. The last couple of weeks we have been busy training a few of our nursing assistants to get their certifications! They have been busy learning how to provide the best care for our patients and residents, in many ways, including how to safely transfer those who need assistance with getting around.

Our team at Mountain Communities Healthcare District deeply values our partnership with REACH Air Medical Services and the vital support they provide to our patients. We are heartbroken by the recent accident involving the Redding crew. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families, and we wish the crew a full and speedy recovery.

As we continue loving the fall weather please remember flu/ cold/ COVID/ RSV season is upon us!

Getting the flu vaccine and any other vaccine you are eligible for is a great way to protect yourself and others from transmission of these diseases. Remember to wash your hands, stay home when you are sick, practice cough/sneeze etiquette, and sanitize frequently touched areas!

Vaccinations and hygiene etiquette is the best way to prevent infection during this time of the year! 🦠
