Overnight Building Housekeeper

The Building Housekeeper position is responsible for the interior cleanliness and appearance of The Rockwood. This position is a key role in sustaining an inviting and gracious living environment for our Independent Senior Living Residents. #1 requirement - MUST LOVE SENIORS!!!

This position does require overnight work and some weekend work

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Excellent cleaning skills
• Keeping all interior areas clean and free of debris by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, polishing, ironing and disposing of trash
• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests
• Ability to work alone
• Ability to lift, pull, bend, walk stairs and climb ladders
• Inform management of any supply needs
• Assist with any requests or concerns by any resident and communicate to management
• Maintain good resident relations, act as a positive representative to residents and families
• Must be able to hear, monitor and respond to all fire/ pendant alarms and alert first responders to emergencies in an accurate and calm manner. Ability to follow emergency protocols.
• Must be able to direct or redirect residents during severe weather
• Must be able to multi-task and complete a series of task lists determined by the working shift or otherwise directed by supervisor

Title: Community Driver/ Light Handyman

Description: The Driver assists with the overall Community Activities department to ensure the residents lives are enriched by offering a broad range of excursions/trips in a variety of settings. The Driver is also responsible for transporting residents to/from medical appointments and will work closely with the Concierge to coordinate appointment dates and times. This position will also have a knack for light maintenance. To ensure guaranteed daily hours, the driver will assist with general light maintenance within the community to uphold the standards of the community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Participates in marketing the community by sharing a personal commercial to prospective families and residents while outside the community
• Drives residents in community vehicles to medical appointments, shopping trips, dining excursions, museums, parks and other attractions in and around our community
• Attends outings with the residents
• Begins each day reviewing transportation schedule with the Executive Director and the Lead Concierge
• Assists residents getting in and out of community vehicles
• Ensures residents arrive on time for medical appointments and returns back to the community in a timely fashion
• Ensures all resident outings are on time and safe
• Maintain the cleanliness of the community vehicle inside and out
• Maintains a safe driving record
• Responsible to maintaining fuel level in community vehicles - refill gas tank as necessary
• Ensures maintenance schedule is followed for oil changes and other routine vehicle maintenance
• Coordinates with the Executive Director all repairs on community vehicles
• Ensures all state regulations and company policies are being followed
• Ensures the proper use of equipment and supplies and upholds cleaning and safety standards
• Prepare for and manage emergency situations including disasters, fire and other emergencies
• Attend and participate in educational classes, on-the-job training programs, and orientation as scheduled or requested
• Respond in a timely manner to request of residents, families, and guests
• Participate as needed in special events, marketing efforts and special programs

• Bussing Tables
• Washing dishes according to cleaning protocols
• Cleaning kitchen countertops and appliances after dinner service

Must be able to lift upwards of 50lbs. Must be able to walk, stoop, bend, squat, lift, carry and have stamina for the duration of the shift.

Shifts are 3-3.5 hours long and are Monday- Friday from 4:00pm - 7:00/8pm, and 11:30am- 2:30pm on Sundays. We are currently looking to fill three shifts each week. We are looking to hire within the next two weeks.

Starting pay is $11/hour.
