Why is the message always, โ€œyouโ€™re acting crazy!โ€ โ€œYouโ€™re insecure, why canโ€™t you trust me?โ€ Why does there seem to be a narrative to all women that if they ask for respect then they are high maintenance, demanding or controlling?

Ladies, you arenโ€™t asking too much. You do deserve to be respected, listened to and supported. If something or someone is making you feel uncomfortable you are allowed to set a boundary indicating that you will not sit back and allow this to continue. ๐Ÿšซ

You. Deserve. Better. No justifications. No excuses. Itโ€™s time to seek what you deserve.

(I know men deal with this too. In my office and personal life I hear this from mostly females. I have heard it from my male clients too. Compromise is part of a healthy relationship, but ignoring your intuition, lowering your standards and expectations can create a relationship filled with anxiety, insecurity and resentment. Itโ€™s that time of year where most of my clients come in sharing how tired they are. The winter dread is fully upon us. ๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ I get it. I have struggled with it for years.

But what if we leaned into it all a bit more? Instead of fighting it and cursing it we took it as our body trying to tell us something. Our bodies are great communicators if we just listen to them. ๐Ÿง 

This winter, become more mindful every day. Check your resources. If youโ€™re tired perhaps itโ€™s your body saying go to bed earlier more consistently. Check your vitamin D levels, stay hydrated. Work with a functional nutritionist to help understand what your body needs.

Start a hobby, get back into reading, color, bake bread, move your body. Be more intentional. Take social media breaks. ๐Ÿ“ต

Does your phone give you anxiety? The sense of urgency a text or phone call can bring. The constant scrolling and being inundated with messaging can keep you in a heightened state. You may feel on edge, irritable and uneasy just by looking at your phone.๐Ÿ“ฒ

Listen. You donโ€™t have to immediately answer every text or phone call. If itโ€™s something that can wait, let it wait. Pause and think about your response. Reacting to every message can make you feel powerless. You may feel rushed and pressured to say something you donโ€™t necessarily mean or in a way that doesnโ€™t resonate with how you truly think or feel.๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

When you choose to respond rather than react, you are staying in alignment with yourself and take back control of your thoughts and emotions.๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ
