Legal Disclaimer. More information to come on new services & offerings as a Grief, Trauma, and Divorce Doula.

This dream came to me a few months ago, shifting away from clinical work that’s boxed me in. In my own healing journey, I needed more than just some psychoanalysis & coping skills - I needed true guidance & direction. Human support. Care. Hope. Reconnection to my inner child & highest self.

So I will be building that now for others who truly need help escaping trauma & abuse.

Here’s to taking the plunge!

Posted • There will never be a perfect moment.
No magical alignment of timing, certainty, or fearlessness.
You’ll always wonder if you’re ready.
Do it anyway.

✨ Start while it’s messy.
✨ Begin while you’re shaking.
✨ Move even when it’s not guaranteed.

The version of you waiting on “perfect” is still waiting.
But the version who dares to begin?
She’s already rewriting the story.

Quick Update ‼️But first! - Found this in our kitchenette & couldn’t resist. 😂☕️

Current clients - I will be sending out further messages this afternoon about my practice & smoothing out details as I’ve been able to gain a lot of clarity and direction these last few weeks. I truly apologize for the delays in communication and for some, rescheduling.

I absolutely don’t want to sound dismissive or a victim here, but truly being a single mom (I think even if I was with a partner) this last month kicked my arse really hard. I’ve never experienced anything like this - Trying to juggle parenting duties, personal issues like a major water leak/mold/kitchen appliances needing to be replaced in addition to having hundreds of therapists threatening my license, host an 8 hour training, jury duty, see current scheduled clients, attend a family member’s celebration of life & try to grieve - it’s been a DOOZY.

I’m finally getting more grounded now that personally & professionally things have been clearing up. I have some exciting new offerings coming up as I’m shifting towards different projects to help those with nervous system regulation & relational trauma.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support, patience, and understanding. More updates soon! 🫶🏼🦄

Your body keeps the score. 🫀
Before your mind makes excuses, before your heart gets attached…
your nervous system already knows.

That:
• sudden knot in your stomach
• heaviness in your chest
• urge to shrink or over‑explain

…is your body whispering, “This doesn’t feel safe.” I could go on for days with more examples, but I’ll leave these few here and in the post.

💬 Have you ever ignored these whispers before? What symptoms have you experienced?

Save this as a reminder to listen to your first truth‑teller—your body. Follow for more nervous system regulation tips to come when leaving toxic, abusive relationships!

Webster Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month for August 2025 — Penfield Yoga Therapy, located at 2132 Five Mile Line Road, Suite G, in Penfield.

Penfield Yoga Therapy is owned and operated by Kaitlyn Vittozzi, a certified yoga therapist who began teaching yoga in 2014. Early on, Kaitlyn noticed something beyond just physical movement — her students were looking for deeper healing, tools they could use off the mat to feel better physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically. That insight led her to pursue additional training to become a Certified Yoga Therapist, eventually opening her own space in Penfield after subletting in Webster for several years.

Penfield Yoga Therapy offers a specialized combination of yoga and mindfulness skills for new moms and corporate professionals who are struggling with stress, physical pain, and the elusive sense of balance we all seek. Kaitlyn’s mission is simple yet powerful: to help people reconnect with their bodies, release tension, and get back to doing what they love—spending more quality, connected time with the people who matter most.

What Kaitlyn loves most about her work is seeing people empowered—not through short-lived resolutions or trends—but through sustainable change that fosters genuine self-love and well-being.

Penfield Yoga Therapy is a one-woman show, and Kaitlyn has been running the business since 2019. But her impact stretches far beyond her studio walls. She volunteers with ROCovery Fitness and 13thirty Cancer Connect, and sits on the board of KMB for Answers, helping raise awareness and support for those impacted by eating disorders.

Of course, no journey is without a few goosebumps — literally. Each summer, Kaitlyn leads paddleboard yoga sessions on the Finger Lakes and in Sodus Point. While she loves the heat, those chilly August mornings had her wondering, “Why am I doing this?” But yoga therapy teaches us to tolerate discomfort — so now she embraces the cold, goosebumps and all, and laughs through it. She even applied that same mindset when signing the lease to her current space—sitting with the discomfort, trusting the process, and watching it pay off.

Congratulations to Penfield Yoga

Therapy can cause more trauma and pain to victims than we realize. And yes, men can experience emotional abuse as well - however it is predominantly women who are in this position. Have you ever felt like therapy caused more harm than good for you if you were experiencing abuse or trauma?

This week has given me space to reflect a lot. Have had a lot of deep conversations with some clients. The unfortunate circumstances made me have to be very open and vulnerable about my circumstances, even though it isn’t a surprise to many given they naturally just have been aware for a long time. And I just wanted to share some thoughts, and immense gratitude for all of my clients throughout the years. Where I couldn’t hide the mess of my life, quite literally with a broken ankle. And a major thank you as well to .tuned.in for giving me the chance to start my practice with her beautiful office. Just a lot of gratitude for safe, authentic human connection this week. 🤍

Sometimes the smallest steps forward require the greatest courage. Like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, transformation isn’t always easy—but it’s always meaningful.

Whether you’re navigating a difficult season, processing a major life change, or simply trying to find your way forward, remember that choosing to continue, to heal, to grow—that’s profound work.

Your journey matters. Your healing matters. You matter.

If you’re ready to take that next step, we’re here to walk alongside you.

To my clients - you’ll be receiving emails this afternoon with further details of what this entails. It just saddens me when other mental health professionals have been the biggest critics of healing. It shows that you have to be the perfect victim, to not have needs and not express your pain. It makes others uncomfortable. I speak up to make others feel human, and more aware of the injustices that they’re facing. Thank you to those who truly support me, and my child. ♥️
