Cold Laser Treatment

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a fast growing field of health care, offering painless, non-invasive and highly effective drug-free solutions for many muscular, joint, and nerve problems. These are often referred to as “cold laser” treatments, so that they are not confused with surgical laser procedures.
Don’t be misled by practitioners advertising Class 4 therapeutic lasers in their clinics. Some practioners are intentionally or unintentionally misleading consumers into believing that higher power and longer near infrared wavelengths in Class 4 lasers equate to deeper tissue pe*******on and better treatment results. This is not correct. Current scientific and clinical research proves that class 3B lasers are best suited for therapeutic applications and class 4 lasers are best suited for laser surgery or tissue removal!
So why get a cold laser treatment? Class 3b lasers have been shown to benefit healing in cases such as: carpal tunnel, neuropathies, chronic pain, and many muscle and joint injuries. The treatment is virtually pain-free, and has no side effects. Also, don’t sign up for a long-term treatment plan. If you are receiving cold laser or near infrared therapy, you should start seeing results in a few weeks. If not, you may need a different treatment

Injuries: When you have an injury, don't do a generic exercise routine, or a "fits all sizes" protocol. For a period of time, it must be specific to that injury. Get a professional to design a routine that will help correct the problem and enhance healing.

Staying active is hard for those who work behind desks all day. Even if you do physical activity, you can be at risk for health problems.

There was a nice little article about me and Oliveri Physical Therapy last week in the Webster Herald. However, I did contact them afterward, as a typo described me as a board-certified physician, as opposed to a board-certified physical therapist! I'm sure there won't be anyone coming to me for prescriptions, injections, etc. If they do, I'll just have to send them to the appropriate professional.
