Amazing what our body can do! ❤️ Good Morning to all our mama’s out there, have a fantastic day!
Your baby’s head is designed to mold to the shape of your pelvis, Mama. ✨
Your hips expand as baby comes down, and baby works right alongside you as their head literally changes shape in its journey through the birth canal.
This is called “molding” and it’s not only normal, but 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦.
A newborn’s skull is made up of soft, flexible bones with gaps that allow for this reshaping.
This is why I am rarely concerned about the size of your baby’s head as we prepare for your birth.
Your body and your baby were designed for this!
And don’t worry - even though this looks a little strange, baby’s head will return to a more normal shape soon after birth.
