Webster Comfort Care Home

Webster Comfort Care Home A non-profit comfort care home, committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate end-of-life care.

A non-profit, community-based comfort care home, committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to the terminally ill, and their families, in a home like atmosphere. WCCHIt is our desire to allow our residents to live in a warm, loving home-like atmosphere of support and encouragement during their final months of life. We believe in the Hospice philosophy of care: all persons have the right to die with dignity, to have an enhanced quality of life for the remainder of their days, and to be as comfortable and pain free as possible. Webster Comfort Care is a comprehensive and compassionate 2-bed home for the dying in the Webster community. It is a true home-like atmosphere, not a health care facility or a hospital. We ascribe to the hospice philosophy of care that states that all persons have the right to die with dignity, to have enhanced quality of life, and to be as comfortable as possible. Our primary goal is to provide comfort care, symptom control and pain management for our residents, as well as to be a source of respite care for the families.

There’s a quiet kind of peace that lives within these walls — where love lingers, and every breath matters.

At WCCH, comfort, dignity, and connection are always present.

You never know who you'll bump into at Casino Night!

In 1978, volunteer Kevin Spindler was a Rochester Red Wings bat boy. Forty-seven years later, he found himself face-to-face with former Baltimore Orioles and Red Wings player Blake Doyle (who played for the Red Wings in '78) — at Casino Night, of all places!

From dugouts to dice tables, turns out the real jackpot was a renewed friendship.

Moments like these remind us what baseball, community, and time can do.

We're thrilled to share the porch is finished! While we still need to add finishing touches — furniture, landscaping, and memorial bricks — it’s already more beautiful than we ever imagined.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors and the heartfelt support of the Drechsler family, this porch is a peaceful space for reflection, connection, and comfort for our residents and their families.

But it’s more than just a place to sit. It stands as a symbol of community love and the care that surrounds every person who comes through our doors. To everyone who helped make this dream a reality, thank you. You’ve built something truly lasting.

It’s Wishlist Wednesday, and we’re keeping it simple this week!

Sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference. A box of Kleenex for comforting moments, a roll of garbage bags to keep things tidy, or a bottle of hand soap to help us care safely — they all help our Home feel a little more like home. 💜

Our current wishlist:
🧻 Kleenex
🗑️ 33-gallon garbage bags
🗑️ 13-gallon garbage bags
🧴 Antibacterial liquid hand soap

Thank you for helping us care for our residents and their families with love!

We’re always looking for ways to maximize the impact of your donations, and here’s how...we started using Zeffy to fundraise.

While every other fundraising platform takes a portion of your donation in fees, Zeffy delivers 100% of it to Webster Comfort Care Home. Zeffy is supported solely by voluntary contributions, called tipping, from donors like you! Your gift is going straight to our mission!

Look at this beautiful landscaping done by our Volunteer, Claudia and our Nurse, Ingrid! It really completes the porch. We are truly grateful for the time and effort it took to make this area beautiful and in time for our annual Their Light Shines memorial event! (rain-delayed until Thursday night, October 9th).

THIS is what makes Webster Comfort Care Home so wonderful - volunteers and staff willing to put in their time, money, and heart and soul to make our Home and grounds welcoming and special for our residents and their friends and families.

Thank you Claudia and Ingrid!!!
