Today we celebrate memorial day in honor of those who gave their lives so that we could have the freedom to live ours by the way we choose. Choose to be a proud American today and be grateful that you have a roof over your head, food to eat, and the ability to spend time with those you love as others re-live the loss of someone who no longer comes homes as a sacrifice for your freedom.

Good evening everyone I know most of our clients are aware that we are closed December 21st through December 29th for the Christmas holiday. For those of you who were not aware please understand that we take pride in providing the best care for all of our patients, but during this time of the year Dr. Grenda really puts value in spending time with family and with all of this years events he would rather have both his clients and staff celebrating with the ones they love. We are excited for the coming year and will see all of you that are scheduled on December 30th as we return to work, and for all others we will see you next year with some new staff and hopefully more wonderful surprises!!

Good morning we are closing our offices today due to the weather. As a safety concern to both our staff and patients we just feel that there is no reason to place anyone in harms way. A staff member will be in touch to reschedule your visits.

We would like to inform our patients at the Steven's Mill location in Stallings, NC that we are going to be reducing hours effective immediately. The reason for this is that our landlords NAI Southern Real Estate have refused to replace our current HVAC system that is in mechanical failure. As they have no concern for our health and wellness we at Weddington Physical Therapy and Wellness do not practice the same business ethical standards or conduct and will not be putting our patients at risk. We will only be open 8am to 230pm approximately daily as an increase in heat stroke and fatigue increase dramatically past these hours. In the mean time any complaints may be directed to Steve Banner sbanner@srenc.com at Southern Real Estate till the matter is resolved. We thank everyone who has been graciously putting up with the heat and hope to be back to running at normal hours shortly.

Good morning and Happy 4th of July!!! Today we celebrate the birth of our country and the freedoms that we so rightfully defend. Our offices are closed today for the holiday, but will reopen tomorrow at 8 am. Please have a happy and safe 4th of July!!

It is with a deeply saddened heart that we announce the passing of Mr. James Stroupe one of the co-founders of Weddington Physical Therapy and Wellness. Jim was my father in law, secretary, all around fix it guy and friend to all while manning our front desk the first few years of our clinic. It was with his encouragement that we began our own clinic focused on God, family and doing what is right for others. Today we will celebrate his life as he now walks in heaven above with our Lord and Savior Jesus.

Job Title: PRN Physical Therapist

General Job Description:
Physical therapists will work with patients to improve their movement and manage their pain with a treatment plan. PT’s use a variety of techniques to help their patients, including hands-on therapy, strengthening and stretching exercises, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, ice/heat and much more.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Consult with patients and learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons.
Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they complete specific tasks.
Develop an individualized treatment plan
Coach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition
Use hands-on therapy such as massage to ease patients pain and provide stimulation to promote healing
Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly
Advise patients (and loved ones, when appropriate) on home exercise programs and what to expect from the recovery process.

Qualifications for the Job:
Education: Doctorate in Physical Therapy (required)
Experience: 1-2 years of practice (preferred)
Other: Continuing education specializing in vestibular rehabilitation, dry needling, women's health, exc. (preferred)

Strong communication skills
Highly organized
Self motivated
High energy
Adaptability
Team player

Physical Requirements:
The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to feel / handle, and occasionally reach forward with arms outstretched. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to demonstrate tasks the patient is expected to complete for their rehabilitation.

Salary and Benefits:
This is a position offering up to 28 hours a week. Pay and benefits negotiable upon applicant. Benefits may include (health, vision, dental, 401K and Short Term Disability)
