Alan R Cooper, DC We are a family oriented practice of general chiropractic with a focus on healing and avoiding injur I look forward to meeting your healthcare needs.

I have been practicing Chiropractic for 35 years, first in Illinois and, for the last 23 years, here in Weedsport. My attachment to Central New York is through my father who was born in Solvay. We would come here from Illinois 3 or 4 times each year to visit my dad's parents and later his brother and other family. Those visits left an impression on me and I have wanted to live here pretty much since I can remember. In 1998 my dreams and wishes came true and I was able to buy this practice from Joanne Bowen. (Thank you Joanne!) I've been here since and have not looked back. I am grateful to all my patients and friends who have been and will be a part of this journey. We are a general family practice of Chiropractic and focus on getting people better, then giving them the tools to stay that way. We do this by means of Chiropractic manipulation, lifestyle advice/counseling and exercise, that is, using exercise to mimic and strengthen the way the body is called upon to be used in real life. I am a Doctor of Chiropractic and have done postgraduate training in neurology and lower back/spinal rehabilitation. In addition to that, I have been a Level 1 Crossfit Trainer and have been certified as a Crossfit Judge. Thanks for visiting my page!

Dear patients and friends. It is with very mixed emotions that I write this. My recent open heart surgery has left me unable to work for an extended period of time. This has lead to this becoming a "career ending injury". I had long planned that when retirement came I would sell the practice to a bright young doctor, hang around for a few months until everyone was acquainted and aclimated then sneak out the back door. Obviously it did not happen that way, but it is written "a man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps". I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for the 25 years I was able to be of service to this community. It has been my honor and pleasure.

Update: I'm home from the hospital, trying to be a good boy and heal..(Alan does not sit well with others). Thank you for your continued prayers and support, they both mean the world to me!
