🍪🥧🍰🧁Also, BV Senior Center will be holding a bake sale and Elvis will perform. Donations of baked goods are appreciated and can be dropped off after 9am tomorrow Sunday May 24th.

Bennetts Valley Senior Center had a great turnout for the first visit of the Lion Mobile provided by Penn State College of Medicine. Participates were able to sit in an important meeting held to discuss the program at length with the individuals behind the program. Which included representives from Penn State College of Medicine, Penn State Health and Human Developement and a current medical student. Also present was Office of Human Services Agency of Aging, a rep from the Elk County Health Authority and members of the Bennetts Valley Senior Center board. I can't express enough, how exciting this is for Bennetts Valley. They will be offering several visits in the upcoming fall academic year that will be a themed visit each time, in topics discussed.
Topics included medical billing reviews, foot care, dermatology, ENT, assistance in telehealth, medication overview, health and wellness screenings and many others. Thank you to community members that participated! We encourage the community to participate to prove there is a need for closer and convenient healthcare in rural areas! This program dives deep into rural healthcare situations and are the ears and eyes that we have been hoping for. They are listening and offering their help. What better way to say thank you than to show up and receive their medical services? It was shared that the medical students that will be associated with this program will be specifically chosen with precise thought and need from topics discussed by the group.
