Congratulations Paula!

Congratulations to Bergenfield delegate and educator, Paula Weiler, who was the recipient of the H. Mickey MacCabe Memorial Award at the National EMS Conference in Atlantic City!

The award is given in memory of H. Mickey McCabe, one of the founders of the New Jersey EMS Task Force.

This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated continuous advocacy and leadership that improved patient care and the overall impact of the Emergency Medical Services System.

Paula is our EMSCNJ membership secretary, a past president, former Northern Area VP, and a longtime Englewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps member.

Today, we remember the lives lost and the countless heroes who answered the call on 9/11.

For WVFAS, this day will always carry deep meaning. Many of our own stood shoulder to shoulder with fellow first responders, running toward the devastation when the world stopped.

Twenty-four years later, the memory of 60,000 people passing through our EMS area at the ferry terminal remains with us; we carry it in our work, our service, and our commitment to protecting our community.

We honor the bravery, the sacrifice, and the resilience shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
