We’re excited to share that our counseling intern, Sophia Mikula, is now accepting referrals for new clients under clinical supervision. Sophia is currently in her master’s program in counseling at Marshall University and is gaining valuable experience working with clients.

Sophia is able to support individuals who may be struggling with:
* Anxiety
* Depressed mood
* Adjustment or life transition concerns
* Developing coping strategies
* Communication and relationship skills

We are also able to offer low-cost self-pay options for those whose insurance does not cover services or who prefer self-pay when seeing Sophia.

We at Mountain State Counseling and Behavioral Health Services are deeply saddened by the tragic and unnecessary loss of Charlie Kirk, a true American and faithful man. His murder, rooted in differing political opinions and views, is a heartbreaking reminder of how far divisions have gone in our communities and our nation. This violence must stop.

No life should ever be taken because of differences in beliefs. We must come together with compassion, respect, and understanding—even when we disagree.

Our hearts and prayers are with Charlie’s family, friends, and loved ones during this painful time. 💙
