Happy weekend to all! We just wanted to address a few concerns that have been brought to our attention ♥️
First- we apologize for any billing issues. We are a new facility and, like many medical facilities, our billing is processed by an outside company. We are working diligently to fix these issues and if any of our patients have any issues reaching this company, I urge you to call us or COME IN so that we can address your issue first hand. We are always willing and happy to speak to you 😊
**Please know that we would never purposefully take advantage of anyone in our community nor take a co-pay without service or refuse to reimburse a patient. We will ALWAYS work with you to resolve an issue, whether financial or clinical!
Second- please understand that although we are ER trained, we do not have the capabilities to operate like an ER. We have limitations BY LAW, as an urgent care facility, and therefore, cannot complete workups that require on site comprehensive lab, CT imaging or speciality services. We are here first and foremost to TAKE EXCELLENT MEDICAL CARE OF YOU… even if that means sending you somewhere else! If we can’t do the job, we need to send you to where it can be done appropriately for your best interest and safety.
Thirdly- we unfortunately have no control over insurance credentialing. These companies independently decide who and when- and there is no consistency. We are working very hard with our consulting firm to make sure we credential with as many carriers as we can. UHC and UPMC have declined at this time, most likely due to competing facilities. We are still in process with several others. We are in network with several primary services, but I understand the frustration as there are many sub-specialized versions of many carriers and we are trying our best to request all that we can to meet our patients’ needs.
With that update, please accept our most sincere THANKS for all the outpouring of support and excellent reviews and praise from all of you thus far. This has been a tremendously tough but rewarding road and a dream realized. We are so VERY PROUD to serve OUR COMMUNITY!
