I was very pleasantly surprised when I was able to try Diges-Tea. It wasn’t more than about 10 minutes after drinking a cup that could feel and hear my body working in those areas. Delicious tea too! Peppermint notes were accented nicely by the other flavors that make this tea a must try if you struggle with digestive issues. Bloating is noticeably reduced. I definitely recommend this tea and Mountain Mel!

Our Story

The seed for Mountain Mel’s was planted when our founder, Melissa Mutterspaugh, spent time as a backpacking guide & wilderness therapist. It was then that she noticed people carrying harsh toxic products in their backpacks and first aid kits. These products were not only polluting their bodies, but more importantly, our planet.

She began creating herbal first aid products and hand writing labels as she slung them around her Mount Hood community. Many of her friends and community members asked her for custom tea blends to help them during times of sickness. That really fueled her desire to learn more abut herbalism, and why these natural plants worked so well. She signed up for several herbalism courses, and is now trained as a clinical herbalist. Finally, someone said, why aren’t you selling your teas. And, the rest is history!

Today you can find Mountain Mel’s products in natural health stores and outdoor sporting stores throughout the Pacific Northwest.
