Dr. Markarian was born in London and grew up overseas in Cyprus, Singapore, and Thailand, before relocating to the United States at the age of 10. Dr. Markarian speaks four languages – English, Armenian, Arabic, and Greek – and his unique background has allowed him to instantly connect with his patients through an unparalleled appreciation and understanding of diversity. Dr. Markarian understands the delicate interplay between appearance and self-confidence. He believes that everyone has a unique vision of their personal aesthetic ideal that should be understood by your plastic surgeon. During your patient consultation, he will focus on your specific concerns and goals, and offer a comprehensive evaluation to discuss the complete range of both surgical and non-surgical treatment options spanning traditional and cutting-edge technology. In his spare time, Dr. Markarian is a huge movie buff and a weekend athlete, often enjoying a game of basketball or a bit of tennis with friends. He tries to visit his family in Whittier, California as often as he can, where he volunteers teaching math and science at the junior high school where his mother teaches.
