Coming Out of the Darkness Into the Light

March always feels like a quiet turning point for me. Even though we had very few truly cold days here in Colorado this winter, I still notice the shift when the light begins to return. I live with seasonal affective disorder, and in past winters I’ve felt the heaviness that comes with long, dark days. Do you have pain in between your shoulder blades?

This pain could be from forward rotation of your shoulders, causing your pectoralis muscles to shorten. This causes your shoulder blades to pull apart in your back, causing pain.

To ease the pain, try massaging your pectoralis muscles. They are located on the chest wall, extending from the collarbone and breastbone to the upper arm.
