"I would like to nominate Ramon Parrish, Clerk in the Supply Chain Department, for Employee of the Month. One Tuesday morning, I stepped onto the elevator feeling a bit grumpy and overwhelmed. Ramon happened to get on at the same time, and with a big, genuine smile he greeted me with, 'Good morning – it’s Terrific Tuesday!' That simple, cheerful greeting completely turned my mood around. His positivity was contagious and reminded me how powerful a kind word and a smile can be.

"I frequently see Ramon around the hospital and every time I do, he’s smiling and spreading positivity. He often greets others with uplifting phrases like 'Wonderful Wednesday' or 'Fabulous Friday', creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone he encounters. Ramon consistently demonstrates a positive attitude and uplifting spirit that makes a meaningful impact on those around him. He is a true example of our values in action, and I believe he is very deserving of this recognition."

Those were sentiments that were shared about our most recent Employee of the Month recipient, Ramon Parrish. Congratulations, Ramon. Your positivity and ability to lift up those around you make a true difference in our workplace!

School is back in session for most of our children, and the extra time they had on their hands to indulge in electronic devices might be coming to a close. But all of us could use these tips to reduce our "screen time" even further. Let's get out there and get some exercise, go to the park, write in a journal, or simply enjoy a cup of your favorite beverage and sit in contemplative silence for a while. It's good for your health!
