What is a “Therapeutic Protocol”?
A therapeutic protocol is designed to aid the rehabilitation of new or old injuries and help a horse recover from over work syndrome, help reduce muscle spasms, help decrease pain and inflammation, and support joints and tendons while allowing full range of motion. Applications can also be used to aid in the removal of toxins, and dramatically reduce healing time. Tape applications are non-invasive, allow the skin to breath and move with your horse. Equi-Taping Methodology® offers protocols that can help horses recover from suspensory injuries, surgeries, lymph issues, sprains, etc. These applications can also enhance the benefits of chiropractic adjustments and other therapeutic modalities. These protocols complement any rehabilitation program advised by your vet.
What is a “Training Protocol”?
A training protocol is designed for performance horses to maximize training and to help prevent injury. A certified practitioner can do a full body assessment on the ground and under tack to determine the best taping applications for your horse. The Equi-Taping professional will teach you how you can tape your horse to help your horse reach his highest athletic potential and stay sounder while doing this. Common training applications include muscle activation and joint support.
