What is Chiropractic? Trying for a concise explanation, chiropractic is the realignment of bone and muscle within the body. The nervous system can become hindered by a misalignment of a tissue. The misalignment can cause 1. Direct pressure to the nervous system causing interference 2. Irritation to surrounding tissue, the irritation can increase inflammation in an area, which can cause nervous system irritation. We make structural changes through manipulation of bone, and muscle to decrease these negative effects on the nervous system; which allows your nervous system to work at optimal function. When your nervous system is at optimal function it will allow for the greatest communication throughout your body, which allows for your body to in turn heal itself to the best of its abilities. 1. Your nervous system comprises of two main "parts" Part 1- your central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and Part 2- your peripheral nervous system (everything else).
2. From a cellular level your nervous system is in charge of everything that goes on in your WHOLE body.
