Equilibrium Equine Massage

Equilibrium Equine Massage Both Jim and April are highly regarded in the equine massage field. Owners are welcome (and encouraged) to watch the session.

Besides the obvious benefit of massage relaxing the body, it also improves circulation, decreases stress, and improves the function of the horse’s 700+ muscles. I have been practicing equine massage for over 6 years, and have taken many courses covering several modalities, incorporating the techniques taught by Jim Masterson (therapist for the USET Endurance Team) and April Johnston (an expert on equine structural integration). I am available to come to your barn (from Jupiter to Southwest Ranches and monthly to the Naples/Ft Myers area) to perform the session, which takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Please, no pregnant mares, or young horses that have not been started yet. If you feel your horse has a physical ailment or injury, please consult your veterinarian before scheduling a bodywork session.

Please don't be offended if I ask you, the horse owner, to step back or maybe just completely walk away. Sometimes horses are so tuned into 'their person' that they can't focus on their body work. This horse was fidgeting, going back-and-forth, just wouldn't settle down. The owner stepped away, and within a minute I was getting beautiful yawn releases.
