Happy belated Mother’s Day to all. On Saturday Marlene hosted a “daughters day” most of our residents are a daughter, but however maybe not a mother. So she changed it up. They enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of talk about aprons from the past and present. Enjoyed some punch, fruit and cheese tray along with cheesecake trays coffee and tea. Yesterday was craft day!
Today students from USC came and helped plant our raised flower bed, our vegetable garden, and our planters out front. They also cleaned the front windows! Thanks for all of your help kids, you did an amazing job and the gardens look amazing 🤩

On Wednesday we celebrated Nancy A. Birthday 🎂 they had some delicious roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy along with creamy Brussel sprouts. Then enjoyed a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting from wells bakery during her party.

Some people just have talent, and our Cindy is one of them. Always making fun holiday treats or crafts for our residents. She made 2 wreaths, using plastic spoons, decorative napkins then using modge podge to cover the spoons with the napkins and then made into the wreath! How neat are they?!? The residents are truly enjoying them! If you stop in to shepherds inn make sure to check them out, they’re hung in the dining room. ☺️

What a beautiful day! Residents took full advantage of it too. Lots of them sat out on the front benches and some took a stroll through the back garden and some even worked on clean up of the gardens so we can get ready for planting flowers and vegetables. Looks like it’s also time to bust out the patio furniture from storage 😁 bring on summer 🥰
