I had this idyllic picture in my mind of what bedtime with kids would be like:
Warm stories, forehead kisses, a soft “sleep tight” before gently closing the door.

I saw a similar graphic posted by playspark about the duality of raising a disabled child.
While every parenting journey is different, I was struck by how much it echoed my own experience raising a child with anxiety.

I’ve lived every one of these tensions:

Strength & Vulnerability
You’re your child’s safe place but some days, you feel just as overwhelmed as they do.

You want to give them time and understand what’s behind the behaviors… but also want them to feel better now.
