Good evening, everyone,

As the holiday season approaches, many of us feel that familiar pull—the desire to be home. Home isn’t just a place; it’s a feeling. It’s the sound of family laughter, the smell of a favorite dish cooking, the warmth of a familiar chair, and the comfort of being surrounded by the people who know and love us the
most.

Here at Edgewood Manor of Wellston, we understand how deeply that feeling matters. And this year, more than ever, we want to make sure our community members have the support they need to get home for the holidays—or to feelat home while they’re with us.

Every day, our team works with one goal in mind: helping our residents regain strength, regain confidence, and regain independence. We proudly offer therapy six days a week, because recovery doesn’t take weekends off.

Whether someone is healing from surgery, building strength after a hospital stay, or needing focused rehabilitation, our therapy department is dedicated to getting people safely back where their heart longs to be—home.

We also specialize in advanced wound care, because we know that healing requires expertise, patience, and close observation. For those living with dementia, our dementia-centered care provides compassion, stability, and structure during a season that can often feel overwhelming or confusing.

And for families worried about how their loved one will get to appointments, outings, or holiday gatherings, we proudly offer transportation five days a week. We want to keep people connected—to their families, to the community, and to the moments that matter.

We also recognize that every person’s lifestyle is different, which is why we remain a smoking-friendly facility, respecting personal choice and ensuring comfort without sacrificing safety.

This season, our message is simple:
If you or someone you love wants to be home for the holidays, Edgewood Manor of Wellston is here to help make that possible. Whether it’s through short-term rehab, long-term care, or supportive services, we are committed to walking every step of the journey with our residents and their families.

November's employee of the month is one that is well deserved. Teresa, our DON goes above and beyond on a daily bases, even after hours, to insure each resident is safe and loved.

Here's more about Teresa:

My name is Teresa Woods, and I have been a part of the Edgewood Manor team for almost 18 years! I enjoy giving all I can to residents to provide the best quality of care. I always say we are not perfect because we are human, but we try to give all we can for each one. In this world today we need smiles and caring all around us. Especially those that may have nobody else.

I cannot say enough about the staff at Edgewood. Over the years there have been many that have mentored me and carried me. Many that work here are invested and loyal to our family. We are proud of what we do daily as a team to provide an environment like home that is well deserved.

Finally, all these years would not have been possible without each of those that have assisted and cared for me as well.

🙌We’re also so grateful for ERA Realty of Jackson/Wellston, Kimmy Aubrey, Rick Henry, BCR, Alissa Peterson, and all the incredible community workers who pitched in.

😍Two wonderful students from Vinton County Middle School even helped pass out soup!
