Colonial Vista Senior Living has posted a nice article outlining why this time of year may be ideal for considering a move into a senior living community. (link in comments)

For those of you not familiar, "senior living" can involve a wide range of services, from independent living, where a person lives on their own with minimal supervision within a retirement community, to assisted living and memory care for those who need more help with basic needs. In many cases, it's not a one-size-fits-all solution.

🌟 Community Impact Award! 🌟

Today we had the joy of surprising our very first recipient of the Colonial Vista Senior Living Community Impact Award — the incredible Foothills Community Center (formerly the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center)! 💙

As a heartfelt thank you for all they do to support seniors throughout our valley, we wanted to recognize their dedication and community spirit — it truly does not go unseen.

We ambushed their meeting this afternoon and presented the award to Lisa, their Executive Director, and Jim, the Board Chairman. 🎉

A huge shoutout to Erin Cass for helping coordinate the surprise!
Our Executive Director Brooke and Director of Sales Stevie had the honor of presenting the award — along with a beautiful bouquet from one of our favorite nonprofits (and partners), Lilies of the Valley. 🌸

This marks the first of many monthly Community Impact Awards we’ll be giving to deserving organizations that go above and beyond to serve our seniors and enrich the valley. 💫

Join us for a special opportunity to tour the Campbell’s Penthouse at Colonial Vista Senior Living — a preserved piece of Wenatchee history, perched high on the 5th floor with stunning panoramic views of the valley. 🌄

📍 Meet at: Vista 2 Entrance – 625 Okanogan Ave
🚪 Please arrive on time — this is an elevator-access tour, and guests who arrive late will miss the group ride to the 5th floor.

🗓️ Tour Dates & Times:
Monday, Nov. 3 – 10:00–11:00am | 1:00–2:00pm
Tuesday, Nov. 4 – 10:00–11:00am | 1:00–2:00pm | 3:00–4:00pm
Wednesday, Nov. 5 – 1:00–2:00pm
Thursday, Nov. 6 – 10:00–11:00am | 1:00–2:00pm | 3:00–4:00pm

🕒 Each tour is scheduled for a 1-hour time block, though the tour itself does not take the full hour. Guests are welcome to stay and enjoy the space for as long (or as little) as they’d like during their reserved time.

We had another round of tours through our Haunted Hallway — and it was a hit! Some of our residents from across the community stopped by to see what all the fun (and screams!) were about.

Colonial Vista has a 10,000 sq. ft. penthouse* perched high on the 5th floor, offering panoramic 360° views of the Wenatchee Valley. This remarkable space was once home to our founders, Carl and Betty Campbell — and much of it remains untouched.

It’s a true flashback to the 1970s, complete with retro s**g carpets, bold color palettes, and vintage charm in every corner. 🧡

🐓 You’ll also spot Mrs. Campbell’s love for roosters proudly displayed throughout — from the décor to the little details that make this home one-of-a-kind.
