Early today around 3:45 a.m., strong winds and a winter storm caused a power outage at Confluence Health Hospital Central Campus that cut power to parts of the facility and briefly stopped elevators. Emergency generators experienced a delayed and intermittent start, but teams responded quickly to begin restoring power. Out of an abundance of caution, surgeries were paused, and some appointments were delayed, until a stable energy source was confirmed and affected patients were contacted. Power has since been fully restored. We’re grateful to our clinical, engineering, and support teams—and to our local utility partners—for their fast work. No injuries or safety issues occurred.

We apologize for the concern this caused and are thankful for all who worked together to keep our community safe.

Say Hello to Dr. Naquin!

Anthony Naquin, MD is a fellowship-trained Medical Oncologist, recently joining the Confluence team all the way from Louisiana.

Dr. Naquin completed his Fellowship in North Carolina, and his Residency at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, LA. During his training, Dr. Naquin was nominated to the Gold Humanism Honor Society by his medical school peers. It recognizes those who are felt to be role-models of compassionate patient care, and people who others say they would want taking care of their own family.

Dr. Naquin and his wife both love the outdoors and are looking forward to exploring North Central Washington and everything our area has to offer. They’re eager to imbed themselves into our community, while bringing some Cajun culture along with them!
