Accel Music Therapy is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled music therapist to join our team! This is a part-time position with the potential to grow based on increasing referrals. The position would begin in July/August 2024 as we venture into a new school year! We provide school-based music therapy as a related service written in student IEPs for both early childhood and school-aged students as well as music enrichment classes across a variety of special education settings. We also provide early childhood music education classes within facilities and serve a handful of clients in their homes and our clinic space.

Accel Music Therapy LLC is based in Wentzville, MO. We started with one music therapist, one client, and a dream to bring more services to St. Charles County and the surrounding areas, as well as create new jobs for music therapists! That dream continues to grow and develop with every new client and contract. We now have 4 employed music therapists providing top notch music therapy services to a multitude of clients.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including parents, physical and occupational therapists, speech & language pathologists, special education teachers, case managers, instructional assistants, process coordinators and administrators to integrate music therapy into overall treatment plan
• Design and implement music therapy interventions based on designated student IEP goals
• Provide consultative music therapy services to other professionals
• Maintain accurate client documentation
• Provide quarterly and yearly reports on student progress
• Attend IEP meetings to discuss student progress
• Provide transportation to and from sessions
• Timely admittance of time sheets
Requirements
• Music Therapy Board Certification or eligibility to sit for the exam
• Passion for working with children with various diagnoses/needs/abilities
• Willingness to provide both individual and group music therapy sessions/classes for children (early childhood ages 3-5 and school-aged Kindergarten through High School)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
