Hunger comes in many forms, and can present differently for each person. Recognizing which hunger you’re feeling can help you decide how to plan or address that cue.

For example, have a long work event coming up, or have to head over to the kiddos school after work for a play? It may be practical to have some dinner before you go so that you don’t end up extremely hungry during a time where you’re unable to eat. This may help you pick a dinner with a variety of nutrients that will keep you feeling full.

Affirming our kids is so important. But if our affirmations always center around outward appearances, this can elevate looks, body type, etc. to an unhealthy place of importance in their minds. And when society tells them (and it will) that their looks or their bodies aren't good enough, the effects can be devastating.

Tell them what you see- inside of them, flowing out of them. You have the beautiful privilege of seeing what they have to offer the world before they do.

COVID-19 creative meal roundup! Managing everyone's food in my household has me feeling a little stressed these days. I'm trying to nourish everyone well, but not be wasteful or frivolous. And I'm also trying to adjust to the foods I can actually have at home and skip the store for now. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Today's lunch consists of some sauteed veggies (can be frozen too!), garlic (totally optional), peanuts (cheaper than other nuts), leftover noodles, and some soy sauce.

This is not gourmet, but it was tasty and filling. If you have picky eaters, I recommend offering them the same thing, just maybe with some plain noodles and veggies along with it.
