Now hiring for our Day Activity Center! 🚐
Part-time Attendant
Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

Seeking a fun and easy-going person to work with our clients in a day program setting.

Responsibilities include: assisting adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their recreational activities and activities of daily living such as feeding and toileting, providing skills training, supervising safety and security, transporting clients in the community, and documentation of weekly progress notes for each assigned client in our computer system.

Preferred Experience:
ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE IN AN ADULT DAY CARE OR SIMLAR SETTING. One year work/volunteer experience with individuals with disabilities.

Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Texas Driver’s license with clean driving record.
3. Excellent computer skills.
4. Bilingual English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
5. Current CPR/First Aid Certification
6. Fully vaccinated for COVID19
7. Must wear a face mask, as needed.

Our Story

We provide services and support to individuals with Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities (IDD) and related conditions who live in their own home or their family's home in Hidalgo, Cameron, and Willacy counties. Delta Independent Living, LLC has been certified by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission as a private provider of Home and Community-based Services (HCS) and Texas Home Living (TxHmL) Medicaid waiver programs since 2009. We also provide Community First Choice attendant and habilitation services for people with disabilities who have STAR+PLUS Medicaid coverage.

Our mission is to assure that each client experiences community life to the fullest by maintaining and improving their functional skills.
