Troop 3759 had our candlelight Investiture and Rededication ceremony Tuesday night. We made a troop banner based on our troop crest, the Hawaiian Lei. The Lei symbolizes friendship and peace, and the scouts' desire to make the world a better place by sharing friendliness and harmony. Afterwards we celebrated Juliette Gordon Low's birthday with a party! She was the founder of Girl Scouts, and was born October 31, 1860. The scouts are excited for another fun year of Girl Scouting!

Bring Home the Pets! When our troop visited the Humane Society a few months ago, we noticed some pets had been there for a long time. And the shelter looked pretty full, too.

So when a few scouts decided to pursue their Bronze Award, they created a project to help. They want to spread knowledge about pet fostering and adoption.

Emily Croom is a local Girl Scout working on her Gold Award. This is the highest award that can be earned in Girl Scouts. She created a cookbook that shows people how to make delicious food using the food most commonly donated to food pantries.

Part of her project is this video, showing people how to make a few of the items in the cookbook.

But our Girl Scout Council says her video needs MORE VIEWS in order for her to earn her Gold Award. Can you please watch the video and share with others?

This is a video for a Gold Award project. A Gold Award is the highest level award in Girl Scout. In this Video you can see four woman create recipes out of t...

Today our Juniors got to meet with a troop of Brownies! They shared the seven principles of Leave No Trace in nature. We hope these girls learn to enjoy nature as much as we do!

"Leave No Trace" in nature. The seven Leave No Trace principles are taught to help everyone enjoy nature safely. Today Girl Scout Junior Troop 3759 got to share their homemade "Leave No Trace" video with a troop of younger Brownies. The Juniors also got to create posters to help illustrate the Leave No Trace principles to the younger girls. We hope they all develop a healthy respect for nature and share what they learn with others.

Troop 3759 visited the Humane Society of Union County (North Carolina) Tuesday. The girls brought homemade dog toys and an assortment of new dog and cat toys, pet food, and yummy treats! They also read books to the animals and played with them. Their next idea is to share photos of these animals on social media, to encourage people to adopt them.
