Please join us in celebrating Shelby Draper, our Assistant Business Office Director, as our January Employee of the Month!
Shelby joined Blue Heron Senior Living while pursuing her accounting studies, eager to learn and grow in healthcare — and she has done just that. She takes pride in her day-to-day accomplishments, from meeting collection goals to always being there to support residents with whatever they may need.
Shelby contributes to our team’s success by working closely with residents and families, collaborating seamlessly with her coworkers, and executing every task with care and attention to detail. What she enjoys most about her role is the people — both the coworkers she works alongside and the residents she serves each day.
Outside of work, Shelby enjoys reading, listening to music, running, and spending time outdoors. Fun fact: she played bass guitar in a band for two years! Looking ahead, Shelby aspires to become a Business Office Manager, building on everything she’s learned along the way.
Shelby lives by the motto “Que sera, sera — whatever will be, will be,” and that calm, steady perspective shines through in her work every day.
