Please join us in welcoming Matthew Richter,DO to our Wesley Chapel location. Dr. Richter graduated from Des Moines University-College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa. Upon graduating, he entered active duty military service in the US Navy. He completed family medicine training at Naval Hospital Camp Legeune providing full scope medical care ranging from pediatrics, women’s health, general adult and end of life care. Dr. Richter has been practicing medicine for over 10 years, with just over 8 of those years as an active duty military physician. Dr. Richter has interests in sports medicine, urgent care, and care of fellow military veterans. He offers many procedures such as joint injections, skin biopsies, abscesses and laceration repairs. His desire is to develop a meaningful relationship with his patients to optimize health outcomes and healthy living. Outside of medicine, Dr. Richter enjoys the outdoors, triathlons, and spending time with family. He is married and has three children.

Joseph Chung, MD

Please join us in welcoming Joseph Chung, MD to our Southern Piedmont Primary Care-Wesley Chapel location. Dr. Chung joined us on February 15th from Elgin, IL where he has practiced family medicine since 2002. He is Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. Dr. Chung attended medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL and completed his residency at West Suburban Medical Center Family Medicine Residency in Oak Park, IL.

Novant Virtual Care...What is Virtual Care?

Novant Health provides easy and convenient ways to connect with your provider through online services to receive minor diagnoses, prescriptions, and professional advice from a licensed provider from anywhere. We offer Virtual Care in two ways: through online video visits and e-visits.

E-visits are an online medical evaluation that allows you to fill out an electronic questionnaire about your symptoms. Your provider will determine a diagnosis and a treatment plan that may include prescriptions. This convenient and affordable feature improves access to care for patients suffering from mild symptoms such as cough, red eye, diarrhea, sinus problems, vaginal discharge or urinary issues, and other non-urgent illnesses and injuries. If you have a serious emergency, call 911.

Schedule online appointments with your provider. All you need is an Apple or Android device or a we**am computer and a MyChart account.

Novant Health now offers video visits on demand, helping you access care 24/7 for non- emergent illnesses and injuries at home, in the office or on the go.

Video are convenient and affordable. Some insurance plans cover the fee at the same copay as an in-office visit with your primary care provider. (Don’t worry. If a technical problem prevents the video visit from being complete or if your provider determines that your problem cannot be addressed through a video visit, the fee will be reimbursed.)
