Sometimes your skin isn’t as straightforward as it seems. A breakout might not actually be acne. Dryness might really be a damaged barrier. Dark spots, redness, irritation… they can all look similar, but have completely different causes, and require completely different treatments.

That’s where seeing a dermatologist makes all the difference. Instead of guessing (and wasting time and money on the wrong products 😩), you get real answers and a plan tailored to your skin's actual needs.

Good skin starts with understanding it. Link in bio to schedule with our team.

Did you spot the melanoma in time??

This image is the perfect reminder that melanoma doesn’t always stand out the way you’d expect. It can blend in, look harmless, or be mistaken for something you’ve had forever.

Here’s the reality: 1 in 5 people will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. And living in Florida, where sun exposure is part of everyday life, that risk only goes up.

That’s why knowing your skin (and getting it checked regularly) matters. The earlier it’s caught, the better the outcome.

So… did you spot it? 👇

If not, don’t worry. That’s exactly why routine skin exams are so important!

When it comes to your skin, the details matter. Whether it’s something cosmetic or something medical, having a team that knows what to look for and takes the time to really look can make all the difference. It’s not just about treating what you see today. It’s about catching what others might miss and creating a plan that actually works long-term.

Good skin care isn’t just about products or treatments. It’s about who you trust with it. 💙

One of the first places we notice aging? The lips.

Over time, we naturally lose collagen and volume, which can lead to thinner lips, less definition, and those little lines around the mouth. It’s subtle at first, but it adds up.

Lip filler isn’t about making lips look overdone. It’s about adding back softness, structure, and just the right amount of volume to bring everything back into balance.

If you ever wondered whether SPF really makes a difference… this is your answer. 😳

These aren’t filters or lighting tricks. This is what years of sun exposure (and lack of protection) actually looks like in real life.

UV damage doesn’t just show up as a tan. It builds over time, leading to wrinkles, sagging, dark spots, and yes, increasing your risk for skin cancer.

The takeaway is simple: what you do daily matters more than what you do occasionally. SPF isn’t just for the beach. It’s for your commute, errands, and everyday life.

May is Skin Cancer & Melanoma Awareness Month, and there’s one thing we want you to remember: early detection saves lives.

Melanoma doesn’t always look obvious, and it’s often not painful. That’s why paying attention to your skin and noticing changes matters more than most people realize. A spot that looks different, evolves, or just doesn’t feel “like the rest” is always worth a second look.

The good news? When caught early, skin cancer is highly treatable. That’s why monthly self-checks + yearly skin exams with your dermatologist are so important.

Take a minute to get familiar with your skin and then give us a call at 813-406-4835 to schedule your skin check. It could make all the difference. 💙

We see these SPF mistakes all the time… but this photo really puts it into perspective. 🫥

Same person, same years of sun exposure, just one difference: where sunscreen was (and wasn’t) applied. And you can clearly see how much that matters over time.

It’s easy to focus on your face and forget everything else, but your skin doesn’t work like that. Sun damage builds up everywhere, even in places you don’t think about daily. The good news? It’s never too late to start being more consistent. A little extra effort now goes a long way for both aging and skin cancer prevention.

Moral of the story: don’t stop at your jawline! 🌞

Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP) is a rare type of skin cancer that often grows slowly and quietly. It may look like a small bump, a scar-like patch, or something that “hasn’t really changed", which is exactly why it can be overlooked.

The important thing to know is that DFSP typically doesn’t hurt, itch, or cause obvious symptoms early on. But it can grow deeper into the skin over time if left untreated.

If you notice something new, something slowly growing, or something that just doesn’t feel like your normal skin, don’t wait it out. Getting it checked early makes all the difference. Link in bio to book your annual skin check.
