What an incredible evening bringing together fellows, residents, faculty, and alumni for our annual hockey night. Hosted by Florida Pain Medicine and Surgery Center of Florida, in partnership with USF Pain Medicine and PM&R, this event continues to be a meaningful tradition centered around connection and community.

Guests enjoyed an unforgettable night in the Florida Pain Medicine suite as the Tampa Bay Lightning ⚡️ faced off against the Seattle Kraken, with great food, drinks, and an electric atmosphere at Benchmark Arena.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a fun, collaborative environment outside of the clinical setting. Opportunities like this strengthen relationships, foster mentorship, and remind us of the power of community in medicine.

A comprehensive evaluation, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests, is essential to pinpoint the exact cause.

Understanding the root of the discomfort is the first step toward effective management and relief.

If you’re in construction or manufacturing, you may also face the risk of falling from a high place and tripping over tools or debris.

In all environments, distracted walking, or walking while looking at your smartphone or the latest report, also poses a risk.

✅ Tips to prevent slips, trips, and falls include:

• Stay aware of your surroundings

• Don’t leave clutter in hallways or where others walk

• Implement the safety measures for your work environment

• Wear and use the proper gear (fall-arrest equipment, hardhat, shoes, etc)

• Don’t read or use electronics while walking

• Close drawers and file cabinets

• Don’t carry or push anything that blocks your view
