🌿 We are very proud to announce that this year, we introduced a new segment into our Herbalist Training Program: “Sex and Gender 101” taught by student teacher, Dr. Michael Anthony
📚 Students are introduced to the very basic definitions of terms related to anatomical s*x, gender, and s*xuality. Our aim in sharing this topic is to empower our future herbalists in healing all people while also creating a safe spaces for conversation. We hope to shed light on the very real and valid lived experiences of the trans, non-binary, queer+ community so that our herbalists may go out and serve their communities at their absolute best.
🌿 We introduced this lesson for the first time this weekend and the students were on fire with powerful discussion! Important questions were answered. Myths and misunderstandings were clarified. Seeds of affirmation, inclusive, and understanding have been planted. We are very excited to see how they grow! There was so much interest, we may open up an opportunity for public workshops in the future.
