Happy Thursday! Today we had a fun cooking competition! We made smash burger tacos and desert quesadillas on our blackstone! We worked as teams and we had to first pick out what ingredients were going to be part of our recipe, and gave our recipes a fun name! It was a fun way to try some new foods, practice our skills and work as a team!

We are ONE WEEK away from our RAD Goes All In(clusive) Community Celebration! Join us as we celebrate the work of our community members, WAWM RCS Recreational Adult Day Program -RAD participants, family, friends and everyone in between that helped make their project a success!
The event is on August 14 from 1-3pm at the Recreation Center will feature a small presentation, followed by an open house and a chance to see the Universal Changing Table that was purchased using the funds raised.
RAD will also be featuring Michelle's Action Angels Community Outreach for their generous contribution to our project.

Happy Monday!! Today we welcomed our new RAD friend to our group! We love having new friends. Today we got hard at work on an activity that has us practicing our writing, sorting and cutting skills. We’ll be making wheels that will line up to make different words, we can’t wait to see how they turn out!

Today we were very excited to start a special project for Stars and Stripes Honor Flight. Our program wrote letters and made cards today that will be shared with our veteran we were assigned!

We were able to watch a video to learn about an honor flight, talked about how veterans have served our country and where they go to visit on their flights.

We are very proud to be able to contribute and be a part of this important event honoring the veterans from our community.

Today we were able to go and check out Happy Place Cooking Space! It is a brand new accessible teaching kitchen!

We prepared a pasta salad with lots of fresh veggies, cornbread muffins AND honey butter! It was such a great space and staff who helped us.
