Today our campus came together for our annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s 💜 From walkers to donors to the incredible Greendale High School Band Drumline, who brought energy to every corner of campus, we are so grateful for everyone who joined in support of this important cause. ✨ Throwback Thursday ✨

In 1925, fifteen faithful women who had spent their lives in service as deaconesses moved into the newly opened Elmore Methodist Home for the Aged, pictured here. This was the very beginning of what would grow into VMP Healthcare & Community Living.

Guided by faith, compassion, and the vision of Milwaukee Methodist Women, the Elmore Home was more than a place to live. It was a community built on dignity, care, and belonging. Though the original home stood at 259 N. 11th Street (now the site of the Marquette Interchange), its spirit lives on today across our campus in West Allis.

As we look back at this photo, we are reminded that our story began with just fifteen residents and a promise of compassionate care. Today more than 450 residents call VMP home, living proof of the lasting legacy planted 100 years ago.
