Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder that can disrupt a womanโs hormone balance, leading to various unwelcome symptoms. Typical but not all cases of PCOS may include ovarian cysts, higher levels of male hormones in women, lack of ovulation (anovulation), and irregular menstrual cycles.
Without proper treatment, PCOS can cause insulin resistance, high cholesterol, unwanted hair growth, hormonal acne, and metabolic syndrome.
The good news is that PCOS can be effectively managed through dietary changes, such as cutting back on inflammation-causing foods like dairy, gluten, simple carbohydrates, caffeine, and alcohol.
At All Things Wellness, we are dedicated to helping women overcome digestive issues and menstrual problems. If you think you might have PCOS, reach out to us for support and guidance.
