To highlight this versatile and nutritious ingredient, Chef Joel created delicious fried hummus cakes—crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and a big hit with residents.

Top Chefs! 👏✨

Big news! A huge congratulations to our talented Waltonwood culinary team for an outstanding showing at the OPC Top Chef Competition! 👨‍🍳🏆

Our chefs brought their A-game and came home with top honors. Executive Chef Nick St. Onge took home Best Entrée with his Mojo Pork Bacado, and Pastry Chef Andrea Wallace earned Best Dessert with her Chocolate Strawberry Delight.

Chef Aaron Nash impressed the judges with a flavorful Asian Chicken Confit appetizer!

We are incredibly proud of Waltonwood Lakeside, Waltonwood University, and Waltonwood Main for their outstanding entries.

A special thank you to Chef Joel Vassallo, Chef Ali, and Chef Jarret for their guidance and support: a team effort from start to finish. A fantastic day at the OPC Social & Activity Center and an even better showing from our culinary teams. Excellent work, chefs!! 👏✨
