June is Cataract Awareness Month - A cataract is the clouding of the natural lens in the eye, located behind the pupil.
When the lens is clear it helps focus light onto the retina for sharp vision. If that lens becomes cloudy and a cataract forms it can cause blurred and distorted vision.
