CranioSacral Therapy (CST) can give athletes the gift of a second chance after an injury!

Mary Ellen Clark, 1992 and 1996 Olympic Bronze Medalist, 10-Meter Diving, shares how CST touched her life through personal experience with the modality.

“CranioSacral Therapy not only made me feel relaxed and rejuvenated but ultimately corrected the core issue that created vertigo I experienced. This therapy was the reason I was able to come back in the sport of diving to finish once again on the awards stand in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.”

Feeling anxious? Take a minute for a deep breath - regulated breathing can help you stay calm. Try a 4-7-8 pattern: breathe in through your nose for 4 counts, hold your breath for 7 and breathe out 8.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) also helps with anxiety and chronic stressors through gentle manipulation. CranioSacral Therapists can stimulate the flow of fluid and help release restrictions that keep emotions trapped in our body. They are trained to “listen” with their hands for the subtle rhythm and gently apply manual techniques that increase mobility and circulation within the craniosacral system. It can induce a deep state of relaxation which may relieve stress and anxiety. Reducing stress response (“fight or flight”) also helps rebalance the nervous system and optimize production of cerebrospinal fluid.
