Today is Women Who Bleed Awareness Day, which shines a light on women and girls with inherited bleeding disorders like von Willebrand disease and rare factor deficiencies. Many experience heavy periods and years of delayed diagnosis before getting answers.

We are happy to celebrate the resilient women in our community, including patients, caregivers, advocates, and healthcare heroes, who are changing the future of bleeding disorders awareness and care!

CSL Behring has announced a temporary global stockout of HEMGENIX. The company states the disruption is not related to safety or effectiveness, but to manufacturing complexity and regulatory standards.

BioMarin has announced it will withdraw the gene therapy ROCTAVIAN from the U.S. market, with availability continuing through the end of May.

ROCTAVIAN marked a major milestone as the first approved gene therapy for adults with severe hemophilia A. While access challenges influenced this decision, the research behind it represents decades of progress.

NBDF remains committed to supporting innovation and access for our community.
