StoryTelling Yoga About the StoryTelling Yoga Program

As we all know parents/guardians affect their children’s lives in every way.

So how important is it to know how to create the kind of difference that would give a child the most solid positive grounded realization of who they are as a person? StoryTelling Yoga answers this question and gives youngsters a major head start on life; learning to be confident, expressive, and loving. This fundamental, developmental experiential knowledge is instrumental to their well being and

future success. StoryTelling Yoga is not just about the kids it is about creating a loving connection between the parents and children. What we do in storytelling yoga is to facilitate this by getting PARENTS/GUARDIANS in touch with their own feeling, playful and loving natures and then meeting their child in this same place. When your child feels your genuine presence and acceptance they feel completely okay being who they are. This sense of loving connections is the key element that makes the difference. When parents and children come together in a transformative loving place repetitively a life-long sense of inner trust is automatically instilled in the child. StoryTelling Yoga sessions are typically 50 minutes long. They consist of an intimate number of pairs of Parents/Guardians and Children. What we do is tell a Story and weave Interactive Processes (such as physical movement, artistic and musical expression, specific Verbal communication and sharing) in and around the story to bring about an awareness of the bond that naturally exists between a Parent and a child. Bringing the sense of this bond to the forefront of the parent child connection enhances and strengthens it. After our fun time together everyone finds themselves refreshed, engaged, happy and connected not only to themselves but to each other. It is a great way to meet and interact with other young families. StoryTelling Yoga is filled with fun, stories, songs, games that help children learn to relax, find their inner strength and loving hearts. Adults come away learning how to be more playful, interactive and loving with their kids. It is a magical experience learning how to create these bonds and watching the loving presence in your child grow. Finally StoryTelling Yoga gives parents the time and opportunity to know their child at ta key developmental stage of their lives , thus making a significant difference in their child’s future potential.
